It’s already Khmer New Year in front of Borei Angkor Resort & Spa. Like each year, our establishment has put together a spectacular view for our guests and all Siem Reap to see. Through elegant lights display and Khmer art installations, our aim is, like always, to celebrate the Khmer culture in all its glory and to welcome our guests with our tradition of hospitality.

A celebration of Khmer culture

Khmer New Year in Cambodia is the most important national holiday. The whole country prepares month beforehand to make sure that everything will be ready in time to celebrate the traditions of our nation on the 14th, 15th and 16th of April.

At Borei Angkor Resort & Spa, our preparation began back in January. Since then we have planned multiple events to come and made sure that the hotel is decorated accordingly in order to transmit the magic of the holiday season to our guests.

To this end, our design team and our engineers have work hand in hand in order to bring to life the lights display and the art installations. To celebrate the year of the pig, an immense pig statue seats at the front entrance of our establishment. It was tastefully sketched by our talented designer Srey Nuch. The pig is one of the twelve animals that identify the Cambodian year. In Khmer, the year of the pig is named “Chhnam Kaor”.

The tradition of Khmer hospitality

Our attention to the details for Khmer New Year celebration is also a way for us to confirm our belief in the tradition of Khmer hospitality. We aim give the warmest welcome to our guests and make them feel at home during their stay with us.

At Borei Angkor Resort & Spa, the sense of hospitality is ever-present, we are dedicated to your well-being, and want to give you the best experience you can have in Siem Reap. Happy Khmer New Year!
